Matthew 11 : 28-30 : Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”
God knew from the very beginning that rest was one of the major gifts that we must receive. No parent wants to see His children weary, pressured, tormented or sad. God wants us to be at peace, He wants us to be at rest.
His whole suffering was about us being freed from the burden of this world. His yoke is easy and His burden is light as we read from Matthew 11 : 28-30. God so loved the world, He so loved us that He gave us His only Son Jesus in order for us to be saved. This was the only way, the ultimate sacrifice. Jesus gave us the greatest gift ever as He was leaving the earth, His Holy Spirit. We receive the Holy Spirit by giving our life to Jesus by faith but for our relationship to grow with Him we must put into practice that key word day-in, day-out : Obedience. The Holy Spirit will show us deeply The way, The truth and The life. By obeying, we will find rest for our souls. There is no constant peace without obedience. At First recognize that you are weary and that your burden is heavy. There’s no need to hide something from the one who sees and knows everything. Be confident enough in God’s love for you to receive the Holy Spirit’s instructions and put them into practice.
Don’t be afraid because such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear ( 1 John 4 : 18). Obey the Word you read in the Bible and obey the Word that comes from the Holy Spirit. Jesus is called the Prince of peace. May the Prince of peace rule over your life as you obey His Holy Spirit fearlessly blindfolded.
